Very chilly temperatures are expected in New England Tuesday with widespread 50s for highs. The cold will be accompanies by showers and gusty winds making for a very raw day for the first week of June. Only 51 degrees expected at Boston which will be about 15 degrees below normal. There will be several more days of chilly weather before high pressure finally builds over the East Coast. Highs reaching up to 80 degrees by this weekend.
High temperatures today near 90 degrees from Minnesota to Florida. It’s beginning to look a lot like summer. This heat will move into New England the next few days as residents there will be shocked by highs near 90 after such a long stretch cool weather. Of note on the map is Phoenix and Las Vegas in the mid 70s and Portland/Seattle only in the mid 50s.
A late seasons nor’easter in New England will cause some very wet weather, especially around Boston, Massachusetts. Expect more than an inch of rain. Good thing this is not winter or this would be a real nice snowstorm. Also expect some gusty winds over 40 mph along the coast.
