June Snow In Yellowstone

A late season snow for western Wyoming Tuesday. Tourists visiting may be surprised when they wake up Tuesday morning. Certainly not unprecedented for the area but compared to the rest of US, visitors may be caught off guard. 1-3″ at Old Faithful, but more expected at the higher elevations.



Hot Weather For Idaho Wednesday

High temperatures 15-20 degrees above normal in Idaho Wednesday. Temperatures will top out near 100 degrees in the Treasure Valley and Magic Valley.  Even mid 90s as far north as Lewiston. Snow at the high elevations is causing some flooding especially on the Boise River. This hot weather will not last much longer as huge cold low pressure will take over later this week into the weekend.


Early Fall Or Late Winter In New England Tuesday?

Very chilly temperatures are expected in New England Tuesday with widespread 50s for highs. The cold will be accompanies by showers and gusty winds making for a very raw day for the first week of June. Only 51 degrees expected at Boston which will be about 15 degrees below normal. There will be several more days of chilly weather before high pressure finally builds over the East Coast. Highs reaching up to 80 degrees by this weekend.


Colorado Starts The Holiday Weekend On The Cool Side

Highs only in the 60s in the northern parts of Colorado with much cooler temperatures in the mountains. Highs only in the 30s across much of Rocky Mountain National Park (see below). These highs are about 10-15 degrees below normal. Better across the southern part of the state where low 70s are expected. Temperatures will slow warm through the weekend and the chance of showers will diminish.

Wicked Cool Weather For Massachusetts Thursday

A cool and showery day expected across much of New England. Highs only in the 50s across the state of Massachusetts which will be about 15 degrees below normal for the 3rd week of May. Friday will be very similar but a warming trend will start this weekend going into next week.
